To address priority research topics, the Center has formed seven Task Forces. These groups are composed of representatives from industry, universities, aggregates associations and governmental agencies. The Task Forces, each chaired by an individual knowledgeable in the field, meet once or twice each year and are charged with the task of defining specific industry problems, discussing relevant research, and recommending appropriate research and action plans to address the problems. In several cases, the Task Forces have been able to establish specific research needs, develop a detailed research approach and identify and approach potential funding sources.
